The World Cup series got into its half

The World Cup series got into its half in Andorra. Both disciplines, Cross Country Olympics and Downhill, were for first time in this season in one bike park. Friday XCC (short-track) won Henrique Avancini from Brazil, and Czech Ondrej Cink from Kross Racing Team supported by Mitas bicycle tires took 10th place that secured him the start from the 2nd row in the main XCO race.

The race was more like race in the desert than in the picturesque landscape of the Pyrenees. For Mitas riders, the race developed well, especially for Ondrej Cink. Ondrej was the fastest rider and lead the race buy a big margin, but unfortunately due to sudden arrhythmia caused by the excessive body cooling by icy water, he had to stop for some minutes. However, he was in the top shape and managed to finish the battle in 10th place.

For the following weekend the MTB World Cup moved to Les Gets in France. Friday's evening was traditionally filled with short-track race in which Ondřej Cink scored his best result in XCC - 8th place! Sunday drought changed the racetrack in a desert again, and the riders fought not only with the track but also with the dust.

Thanks to the result in Friday’s short-track race, Ondrej started from the first row and. Ondrej repeated his stunning performance and finished in fifth place after an exciting finish with French Stephan Tempier (4th). In the first two weekends in August, the whole MTB circus will move to Val di Sole, Italy, and then to Lenzerheide, Switzerland. Hopefully at these rounds will already be back Maja Wloszczowska (Kross Racing Team) how fought with long illness since Cape Epic in March.
